The story goes that Peter Parker feeling lack of his abilities asked Dr. Strange for guidance and training, Dr. Strange excepted Peter as his student. So when Peter was done with his training, he gain new powers such as telepathy, energy blasts, teleportation, astral projection, telekinesis, the creation of materials, such as food and water, energy shields, illusions, ability to heal himself or others using energy, able to control spiders and the ability to fly if he chooses but he still prefers webslinging and he still has his original spider-like abilities. So when he came back Peter also changed the look of his Spidey outfit. He now calles himself, 'Mystic Spider-man'.
